Environmental Technology Building - Univ. of New Hampshire

Durham, New Hampshire

UNH Environmental Technology BuildingThe Environmental Technology Building, now known as Gregg Hall, was the first building constructed in the University's expansion area in its Southwest Quadrant. Funded by a state grant, the new building is adjacent to the protected College Woods and extensive wetlands. The site design was based on sustainable principals, such as minimizing lawn, creating extensive meadows, protecting natural rock outcroppings, and replanting forest. New site elements include walkways, steps, stone walls, lighting signage and planting. While very different from the rest of the campus, the site work contributes to the building's purpose of environmental research and education. Pam Shadley was Principal-in-Charge of this project while at CRJA.
