Halloway Commons Dining Hall - Univ. of New Hampshire

While a Principal at CRJA, Pam Shadley led the site design and construction document phases for Halloway Commons, a new dining hall at the University of New Hampshire. Located on a prominent corner between the Memorial Union and downtown Durham, the building allows students to walk or ride up the almost thirty vertical feet of grade change. Site work included accessible entrances, walkways, native plantings, protection of large existing trees and rock outcroppings, and a large loading area for semi-trailers that is shared with the Memorial Union. Halloway Commons was completed in 2003 and has become an integral part of campus life.
