Charles River Landing

Shadley Associates recently worked on the Charles River Landing project located along the Charles River in Needham, MA.  Charles River Landing will be a 350-unit residential development adjacent to a renewed 15-acre waterfront park owned by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation.  The building includes three roof decks with gardens, plazas, a pool for the residents and connections to the riverfront park.

Shadley Associates was involved since the early design phases working closely with the developers and architect.  Design improvements within the landscape architect’s scope include development of roof deck site amenities, entry court, parking lot landscaping, tennis court and pool spaces and pedestrian connections to the neighborhood and waterfront; participation in the public process and permitting, and construction documents.

Shadley Associates worked  with project abutters on mitigation improvements as part of the approvals process, including work near adjacent properties and improvements to a community park.
